Kamesh’s Family Trip through the Dazzles of Dubai with Thrillophilia

Kamesh’s Family Trip through the Dazzles of Dubai with Thrillophilia

In recent years, the UAE has emerged as the top destination for an International family trip. From being a shopping paradise to surprising travellers with spectacular city views and modern architectural wonders, this destination has never failed to mesmerise tourists.

So, like many others, we also wished for an exciting family trip to Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Why these two places specifically?

Convenience and familiarity. To some extent, the glamour of popularity also played a big role. Before the trip, we were even thinking about the possibility of this trip not standing up to our expectations, not living up to the stories we had heard and the posts we came across on social media.

But after visiting the place, we were awestruck.

The Splendour of Abu Dhabi
It left us speechless.

Abu Dhabi, the sophisticated capital of the UAE, stood up to its name and its image. The sky-high skyscrapers and the grand architecture reflected the opulence of the state. It was not just about its luxurious impression, rather, it was about the heritage of the city.

The massive structure of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque was a treat to the eyes. Its all-white appearance provided us with a significant glimpse into the world of Islamic spirituality.

Moving on, we visited the Baps Temple. First of all, it was incredible to witness a temple in a foreign land and that too so well-kept and well-maintained. After praying there, we moved on to the Emirates Palace which stole our hearts with its stunning interiors- the place showcased what luxury should look like.

Adding to the overall experience were the ever-thrilling theme parks of this city. We explored the Yas Waterworld, the Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, IMG Worlds of Adventure, and the Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi. All four of us were die-hard fans of theme parks, and we did not miss the chance to explore some of the best ones in the world.

But the train of events did not end there. It was a long vacation and we still had a long way to go!

Dubai was waiting for us!
We were welcomed to the Venice of the Gulf with refreshments and top-notch arrangements by Thrillophilia. We met our designated driver and our on-ground representative who briefed us about the day’s proceedings. We already had the complete itinerary with us so we did not have any issues catching up with him. After a short rest, we set out for the much-awaited tour of the famous AYA Universe and the Museum of the Future.

Honestly, the experience of both destinations was unparalleled. While one predicted how the world would look in the future (MoTF), another showed us how it would feel to live in it (AYA Uni.). The spectacular light show blew our minds.

We already said that we love exploring theme parks, but this was on a whole new level!

We also visited the Gold Souk and the Spice Souk in Dubai, and from there we did most of our shopping. The renowned Dubai Mall was a close competitor as well, offering a variety of things that caught our eyes and we ended up buying a whole lot of things.

Then, the tour around Madame Tussauds Dubai, the Dubai Frame, and the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo showed us the range of experiences that one can enjoy here. It is true that Dubai never fails to surprise you!

A Sum of the best
The first highlight of the trip was visiting the 124th and the 125th Floor of Burj Khalifa- the tallest building in the world. The 124th floor hosted a beautiful observation deck from where we could admire the entire cityscape. On the other hand, the 125th floor was a tribute to the Arab Arts and Cultural heritage.

Then came the second highlight, when we boarded the Lotus Mega Yacht Cruise. Since we had a dinner planned here, we could witness the charisma of the Dubai Marina in the evening, with all the buildings around us glimmering to their best possible shine.

Legoland Dubai was the last of the theme parks that we covered on this trip, and like all the rest, this too was a memorable adventure!

But what topped it all was the Desert Safari. From ATV rides to camel rides, we covered it all. The desert of Dubai was quite different from that of Rajasthan, sparking our curiosity and the thrill within us. We had opted for a lavish camp stay in the middle of the dunes, where we got served with some delectable dishes as well. And the finishing touch with a Belly Dancing performance doubled our cultural experience here.

Some thoughts
The UAE might seem to be extravagant and luxurious, but it has a very rich history. While we explored all the tourist attractions of Abu Dhabi and Dubai both, we did notice the transformation of the place from how it was before (thanks to Google for making its historical facts available to us). There were many things that we missed, like the historical landmarks and the heritage museums, which would have deepened our understanding of the place.

But time is not running away, nor are we anytime soon.

We can always come back, hoping for a unique experience, beyond the Instagram reels and the set expectations of tourism. And this time too, we would opt for Thrillophilia’s services because they did a commendable job, just like all other times whenever I travelled with them.

Till then, we can look at the pictures and relive this trip in laughter and smiles!
